Hi everybody, here I am with another journal entry, Mixed Media Place has a typography challenge and it's a great exercise in using your alphas, old stickers, new chipboard, old chipboard, calligraphy
Here's my fun exercise

 I wanted to work with a palette of subdues greens and blues and then make a bold statement in gold, I also wanted my word to come from a pile of alphas

I finally got my hands on the fab white crackle gesso from Finnabair

this lace stencil from TCR had me sighing from first sight

Art Journal entry, Lettering

Hi!Do you know Gayle Price? Well she is this amazing colorful artist I admire.  On her FB page she posted her new journal entry corresponding to the challenge at paperdvizhnik where she is part of their creative team.  Their challenge is lettering and well I decided to take the challenge.  This past Saturday I was teaching some friends how to work blending gelatos, so one of my pages was already started I just had to come up with the pair and the lettering so this is what I did

Bloom Girls Post Tatoo Couture

 

 Hi! I'm still pinching myself, blown away by the chance to be part of the Bloom Girls amazing team of talented ladies!

This month Prima will be showcasing the Floral stamp and I'm guilty of calling all the stamps my faves

 but hey they are! So I'm using the floral with one of the girls.   I have had in my brain this idea, ever since I first saw Lacie, of working a lace dress with her tattoo.

Hi March and all of you! On my inbox was Tim Holtz email of the tags of 2015, it's always fascinating to see the process behind his creations.  The new palette of Scrap Around the World for March  is also out too.  Dreamy colors of yellow, white, blues and neutrals... Being a Caribbean girl both palettes appeal to me one reminds me of the vibrant Caribbean colors, the other reminds me of the calm afternoons with the salty breeze blowing by.  So I'm doing Tim's inspiration in a journal entry but with the calm version of my country to work with SATW mood board.

behind the scenes... I love this stamp "out of limitation comes CREATIVITY" from the random quotes set.  So how about creating some Tim "stencils" using the mixed media thinlits? I hope you agree with me, they worked beautifully

 and the results definitely agree...

 loved doing this technique and Queens gold was so perfect!

 here's my palette

 and using the kraft chitchats I was able to journal what I felt
